Our basic contact management system is part of our standard package and allows you to keep track of contacts that are obtained through your website or entered directly by you using the web remote control program. The web remote control program is really a Windows desktop program that interfaces directly to our servers.
Depending on the features you would like to rent or buy, we provide different versions of the remote control program and connect you with appropriate servers. Perhaps you need a full multi-location inventory system with order and invoice processing with purchase orders and vendor cross reference. Or perhaps you need a simpler system but need to be able to have negotiated prices for your customers automatically used on quotes, orders and invoices. With the appropriate remote control client you can even obtain sales reports, aging reports, tax area reports, inventory reports, even financial statements, if you like.
Even though the “My Simple Website” system can grow into a powerful office automation system, the principles remain simple, and never require the attention of database administrators or other IT personnel. Using the Windows remote control client creates an efficient interface to the server and you can access your customer accounts much more quickly than through a normal web browser. The reason for this is that only the data for each page is exchanged between the client and the server. This makes remote laptop access very practical, even using wireless cards with slow connections. Give it a try! Our servers use, on average, half the electricity of other servers. How is this possible? The efficiency of our software is much higher than what is normally run on most servers. Here's an example. Let's say you want to set up your own system running on your own computers. You won't need to purchase a new, high-power server (typically 1200 watts). Instead (in most cases) you can run our system on one of your existing computers, typically 500 watts or less.
What this means to most of you where we are providing the servers, is that we can put more systems on the same server and still maintain good performance. I realize that many will claim to be green because it's easy to say and hard to prove. But we can prove it with a sample server that you can run in your office.
